truly tasteless tunes
last night i had a dream that someone had transcribed threnody for jazz big band. the musicians were choreographed to dance while playing, in the style of "West Side Story". it was being performed at a gas station, and i was witnessing this premiere performance from across the street.

That is kind of weird since Chi-Hi's school musical was West Side Story this year....
I just saw that performance last week here in our 'hood. It was touted as the most ground-breaking post-modern self-referential deconstruction-of-traditional-perceptions-of-dance-and-music multi-media site-specific underground guerrilla performance art in a decade. They got tons of grant money for their next work...
