Low Notes
Picked up my bass today from the repair shop -- today I start practicing in earnest for the concert at Mountain View High School in January. I'm playing with them on TranZendental Danse of Joi, and I'm not positive, but I think I might be playing the solo as well. This will be my first performance EVER on bass guitar -- I mean, I've jammed with guys before (swapping instruments, etc.) and I've recorded bass tracks before, but I've never played bass live before...

Don't be afraid to use chords just because it's a bass...lots of bassists tend to use one note at a time...but there can be some pretty cool chordings on the bass. My brother is an AMAZING bass player, comes up with some of the coolest stuff by using chords.
Will you be using a 4 or 5 string?
I'm sure you will be GREAT on Bass Guitar, so no need to stress. Just Rock out and play, and you will be amazing! I wish I could be there to hear it, but alas, you are quite a few states awawy...... Oh, and good Luck!
