GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY - pt.II
Wake up, shower, get organized, practice a little… by the time I come downstairs, Helen has been waiting for me to come down for over an hour! I feel badly – I didn’t realize that you’ve gotta watch the schedule at a bed and breakfast!
Soon DP has arrived and we head off. Our first stop is the best music store in town, so we can rent a guitar amp for me to use onstage. DP has called ahead, and the owner tells me I can have the pick for the store, but he has a gorgeous tweaked-out Fender Twin Reverb that he thinks I’ll like. I plug in, the vacuum tubes come to life, and ooooohhh… I love this amp immediately. After a while I pretend to be trying things out, but I’m really just soaking up a little more of the vintage goodness that’s oozing out of this amplifier. I’m like a kid in a candy store. I could stay here all day… snap back to reality, we’ve gotta get to rehearsal!
